We Out Here Announces First Wave of 2026 Line-Up

We Out Here Festival today unveils its first-wave of artists for its 2026 edition. In typical We Out Here fashion, next year’s festival will welcome an eclectic mix of genre pioneers alongside the best in emerging talent spanning the realms of jazz, soul, hip-hop, electronica and more. Announced today is legendary Brazilian composer, singer and producer Arthur Verocai with Nu Civilisation Orchestra, the father of Ethio-Jazz Mulutu Astatke, and Anglo-French avant-pop group Stereolab

Speakers Corner Quartet will bring a special interpretation of the music of cult composer, producer, musician and queer icon Arthur Russell, celebrating his unique, genre-spanning body of work 33 years on from his untimely passing. Joining them in a stacked lineup across the weekend of the 20-23rd August will be Jamaican dub innovator Scientist, boundary pushing Zambian artist Sampa The Great, Little Dragon frontwoman Yukimi, acclaimed New York rapper MIKE, 90’s drum & bass pioneer Adam F, Mercury Prize shortlisted jazz project corto.alto, and London R&B vocalist Yazmin Lacey, alongside an incredible array of live acts and DJs including Anaiis, Jamie Woon, Kahil El ‘Zabar, Joshua Idehen, Musclecars (live), Barker, Ana Frango Eléctrico, Jazzanova (live), Keiyaa, Da Lata, Natural Information Society, Momoko Gill, RogéBel Cobain and COЮ3 / SOYUZ. More acts will be announced in 2026. 

Gilles Peterson’s award-winning festival enters its seventh year, continuing to celebrate the joy of collective musical discovery. This year’s lineup introduces a fresh cluster of artists from within the communities at its heart, inviting audiences to honour foundational legends alongside fresh voices who together continue to push their scenes forward. We Out Here 2026 follows its biggest year yet in 2025; their 5th sold out festival in a row. With over 50% of tickets having sold ahead of any line up being announced, festival goers will need to act quickly. We Out Here’s Early Bird Ticket Offer will end on Sunday 30th November.

Having taken their name from the 2018 Brownswood compilation; a calling card for London’s bright-burning young jazz scene, We Out Here Festival sees integral members of the movement alongside legendary icons, genre-spanning DJs and young improvisers alike for four days of music in one of the UK’s most beautiful, landscaped festival sites. Joining the musical dots between soul, hip hop, house, afro, electronica, jazz and beyond, We Out Here showcases both outstanding live music and some of the best record collections in the world. They also place an emphasis on high quality food and drink offerings, arts and cultural offerings, crisp sound and production, family activities and wellness: all to compliment quality-led musical curation. 

Gilles Peterson 

Best known as a radio presenter on Saturday afternoons on BBC 6 Music and as an international club DJ, Gilles Peterson is also an avid record collector, a curator, a music producer and record label boss. Every year he puts on three large events – the Worldwide Awards in London which are his annual showcase of that year’s best music, and the Worldwide Festival which has expanded to two editions – one in south of France in July and one in Switzerland in March. He also presents a syndicated weekly radio show that is broadcast all over the globe, from Shanghai and Sydney to France and Germany.
