Way Out West will return to Slottsskogen Park in Gothenburg from 13–15 August 2026, marking its eighteenth edition with another bold and eclectic mix of music, culture, and conscious living. Following a record-breaking 2025 edition with two of the most attended days in the festival’s history and a fourth consecutive year of audience growth, the Swedish summer staple continues to raise the bar for what a festival can be.

Building on its first wave of headliners – The Cure, Gorillaz and Ravyn Lenae – Way Out West has announced a huge new set of names for 2026: Zara Larsson, Lorde, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Moby, sombr, The xx, Four Tet, Dijon, Anna von Hausswolff and Oklou, all joining the bill in Slottsskogen. These latest additions underline the festival’s trademark blend of global icons, visionary producers and boundary-pushing artists, with more than 100 further acts still to be revealed.

On Thursday 27 November at 09.00 BST, Way Out West will release 1-Day and 2-Day tickets for 2026, alongside standard multi-day passes already on sale.

Prices:

  • 1-Day – 1,895 SEK (approx. £152)
  • 2-Day – 2,795 SEK (approx. £225)
  • For 2026, the festival is also introducing Open Day-tickets. This new option allows fans to buy a 1-Day ticket now and decide which day to attend later, choosing their day any time before 1 April - perfect for those wanting maximum flexibility while securing access early.

Set in Slottsskogen Park, a lush, walkable green space in the heart of Gothenburg, Way Out West is a Swedish summer dream. Beyond the music, festival goers can expect artist talks, surprise DJ sets, film screenings, and incredible food (all 100% vegetarian) reflecting the festival’s pioneering approach to sustainability. Way Out West is renowned as one of Europe’s most environmentally responsible festivals, with a no meat, no single-use plastic policy and a rigorous carbon accountability model.

In 2026, Gothenburg will also become the United Nations’ global Sustainable Lifestyle Hub, announced during the UN General Assembly in New York this past September. Over the next two years, the city will host several events advancing innovation in sustainable tourism, culture, and everyday living - connecting local action to global impact.

Ranked as one of the world’s most sustainable destinations for seven years and part of the EU’s 100 Climate-Neutral Cities, Gothenburg is setting new global standards for eco-conscious travel. Visitors can expect renewable-powered trams and ferrieseco-certified hotels (96% of rooms citywide), and MICHELIN Green Star restaurants.

Getting There

With direct flights from London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin, and a seamless 45-minute journey from the airport to the festival gates, Gothenburg is one of the most accessible, stress-free, and stylish festival destinations in Europe. Compact, culturally rich, bike-friendly and full of high-quality, affordable food and accommodation, it’s the perfect summer weekend escape.
