Noisily 2015

So what is it? #
Noisily has picked up the alternative electronic music ball right where Glade festival dropped it. Two years in they have already achieved quite a feat, giving us a lavishly decorated woodland playground hosting a myriad of artists and producers offering up three solid days of progressive techno, psychedelic trance, glitch hop, drum and bass and everything between.
Who is it for? #
There is no denying Noisily is a niche festival, but with its few thousand creative and colourful people it certainly makes for one of the friendliest weekends out there. Strike up a conversation with just anyone and you’ll see why – this is a very welcome trait that is becoming more of a rarity amongst the mainstream festivals.
Should I go? #
In a word, yes. There is still some fine tuning to be done, however the British festival scene is riddled with examples of rapid growth and loss of (dare I say it) soul. I am sure we’ve all sat next to the inevitable “remember what this place used to be like” conversations. Well, for Noisily, now is the time - there is real passion at the heart of this festival gem and the atmosphere will blow you away.
Highlights and eccentricities #
- Watching the Victor Ruiz light up with main stage with precision German techno and lasers taken straight from the Tron gaming grid.
- Friendly banter and a crash-course in music production from the good chaps from Bassport.fm and their excellent gazebo stage.
- Wading through a thick fog of dreadlocks for some psychedelic Grouch stompage in the sunshine.
- A rather mental Sunday rave-up in front of the Tree House Stage with Captain Flatcap, Dutty Moonshine & Deburban Poison that even managed to sucked a few security in.
Rooted in the underground electronic music scene, Noisily's festival family is forged in a holistic environment which feeds the mind, body, and soul.
