VALLEY FEST HANDS STAGE TO GREENPEACE IN BOLD CLIMATE STATEMENT AS SECOND WAVE OF ARTISTS ANNOUNCED FOR 2026

Valley Fest will hand over one of its stages to Greenpeace this summer in a bold statement about the future of festivals, farming and action for nature. Day splits are now live and tickets are on sale at valleyfest.co.uk

Returning to Chew Valley Lake from Thursday 30 July - Sunday 2 August 2026, the Somerset-based festival has confirmed that Greenpeace will curate and take over the Save Our Scene (SOS) Stage on Sunday, blending music, activism and late-night energy in a move that organisers say reflects the festival’s deep roots in land, food and environmental responsibility.

The takeover will feature Brighton hip-hop heavyweight DJ Format, legendary house pioneer DJ Paulette, Lynks (DJ Set), Gracie Friel, J. Animalism, Mr Bruce, Nuala and RuMac, alongside emerging talent including Chaka, Immi Dash and Tash Sholto, presented by Gloucestershire-based charity, The Music Works.

The partnership marks a high-profile collaboration between a UK festival and a frontline environmental organisation and reflects Valley Fest’s founding ethos as a festival built on a working farm.

Festival founder Luke Hasell said: “Valley Fest has always been rooted in the land - quite literally. If we’re celebrating on farmland, we have a responsibility to defend it. Partnering with Greenpeace isn’t about adding politics to a party. It’s about recognising that music and love for the natural world belong in the same conversation.”

Adam Gainsborough, Music Booker at Greenpeace added: “Festivals bring people together. That collective energy is powerful - and necessary - at a time when climate and nature action has never been more urgent. This year we’ll be celebrating our new campaign for UK wildlife, in support of nature friendly farmers. We’re excited to bring that energy to Valley Fest.”

Alongside the Greenpeace announcement, Valley Fest has unveiled a new wave of artists for 2026. Joining previously announced acts Friendly Fires, Big Special, Cast and The Herbaliser are Billy Nomates, Dutch house duo Shermanology, rising DNB artist Anais and reggae institution Channel One Sound System.

With day splits now live, the programme spans indie, electronic, folk, soul and late-night sounds, continuing Valley Fest’s reputation for carefully curated, cross-genre programming with a strong West Country thread.

Saturday will also see The Yard Stage handed over to An Experience - the community-built, soundsystem-rooted festival known for its multi-stage celebrations of global club culture - bringing a deeper, underground energy to the weekend with sets from Louise Plus 1 & Hughesee (Distant Planet), Sojebe, Anwar, Akoloa Tamboo, Steve Rice, Sambista, Isabella & Kesh.

Distinct from many UK festivals, Valley Fest takes place on the family farm of its founder and has increasingly positioned itself at the intersection of food, farming, soil health and culture.

For 2026, the expanded Regeneration Programme will bring together leading farmers, conservationists, food thinkers and climate innovators for a weekend of talks, panels and practical workshops exploring soil health and rewilding, sustainable fashion, climate storytelling, food systems and nutrition, as well as nature restoration and hands-on ReGenCraft sessions.

Speakers include Transition Town founder Rob Hopkins, conservationist Derek Gow, Countryfile Podcast’s Fergus Collins, sustainable fashion advocate Amelia Twine, clinical nutritionist Eva Humphries who will explore sustainable food choices, Bristol Fungarium’s fungi specialists. Phil Hammond also joins the programme with comedy sets including How Not to Die Yet and Universally Challenged, alongside interactive sessions from 6 Foot Stories.

The programme reflects a growing appetite among festival audiences for substance alongside celebration and reinforces Valley Fest’s ambition to be more than a music event.

New for 2026, Valley Fest is expanding its wellness and family offering. In partnership with Sivo Wellness, the Valley Fest Spa will introduce wood-fired saunas, ice baths and hot tubs overlooking the Somerset hills. The programme also includes Wim Hof Method breathwork with Chris ‘Ash’ Ashworth, yoga including family sessions and laughing yoga, guided meditation, sound healing, Reiki, sports massage and creative workshops.

The much-loved Kids and Family area returns, featuring The Superpirates’ immersive adventures, The Colour Town Project’s roaming art space, interactive drumming with The Drum Runners, aerial hoop and silk sessions with Lima Ariel, Junior Jungle play space alongside a programme of storytelling, dance and early years workshops.

Weekend tickets start from £190 plus booking fee, with combi tickets from £99 plus booking fee. Day tickets for Thursday and Sunday are also available. Full details and day splits can be found at valleyfest.co.uk.
