Glastonbury Festival

Glastonbury Festival is a five-day festival of contemporary performing arts held near Pilton, Somerset, England, in most summers.

Location
Worthy Farm
Shepton Mallet, Pilton, England
Overview

The most famous festival on Earth, held most summers at Worthy Farm in Pilton, England, on a site that grows into a city of over 200,000 people. Founded by Michael Eavis in 1970, it has evolved from an intimate farm gathering into a cultural institution.

Far more than a music festival, Glastonbury spans everything from rock and pop to dance, folk, theatre, circus, and the late-night shenanigans of the Southeast Corner. A working farm that takes a regular fallow year, it returns each time as the undisputed high point of British summer.
