So you were unlucky in Glastonbury resale. It’s a tough one to crack through, far more competitive than the main sale in October. Our first recommendation is that, if you have any inclination to attend Glasto at all the following summer, purchase tickets in October. Well, it’s a little late for that, but hope is not lost. Those rumoured SECRET RESALES are in fact real. I purchased my ticket for 2014 in a secret resale that took place on May 12th of that year. Ticket holders still have the option of selling their ticket back to the festival. So as these tickets trickle back in, Glastonbury will occasionally give buyers the chance to purchase them.
Here are the variety of ways you can still get tickets:
1. Sign up for www.followthatpage.com. This is a service that emails you whenever a page on the internet changes. So the moment the Glasto Sale page removes “FESTIVAL TICKETS HAVE NOW SOLD OUT”, or activates the purchase link, you’ll get an email. Type the url http://glastonbury.seetickets.com into the page address and your email address below.
2. There are loads of contests for free tickets that will be happening between now and June 21st. Thachers Cider gives away four pairs of tickets each year, that contest is already going: http://www.thatcherscider.co.uk/festival. TimeOut, BBC, NME, and other various entertainment outlets run contests as well, keep your eyes peeled.
3. Follow us on Twitter! twitter.com/festsandgigs We will be posting secret resale alerts and contest announcements the moment we hear about them.
Good luck, we hope you all get to enjoy the wonder that is Glastonbury this year!
